Hola! I am a 4th year student of Dnipro Polytechnic and now I am studying at the University of Jaén (Spain) under the Erasmus program. I was familiar with Erasmus from the first year of university, I have been taking part in short-term youth exchanges and training courses a lot, but I always wanted to go to study abroad. To be honest, it did not happen to me from the first try, because there were not such programs for FIT two years ago. But now there are so many opportunities for students of all specialties, so if you study at the Dnipro Polytechnic - you are very lucky!

When I`ve seen the call on the page in the telegram, I thought "this is the last chance" because I'm already finishing my undergraduate degree. So, I filled out the application form and then… The first interview, second interview, “congrats! you are accepted”, intensive Spanish courses, an individual plan, a choice of subjects, many additional documents and applications, visa documents, plane tickets, moreover all this was during exams. Exhaled already in Jaén but in mid-October. Because upon arrival, there were many challenges, such as making a card at a bank where no one speaks English, and your Spanish + Google translator caused them, or to find a schedule of subjects. But all this is nothing, because you are an international student of the Erasmus program in Spain!

Studying here. I can't say it's easy ... not easy at all, but nothing is impossible either. The first thing I noticed was the structure of all the lessons and the rigid deadlines. Jaén University has an online platform where you download your homework every week (one minute late ‘ failed task), where you can find all the lecture materials and additional literature, where you can also ask a teacher a question and get an answer in the next hour. It was a pleasure to study during the semester, the teachers were always happy to help and coordinate in the practical classes, giving many examples from their own experience. That is why it was possible to hand over all the items in Jaén, and even after the arrival to Ukraine to “perfectly” pass all subjects at the Polytechnic University.

But don't think that by going to Erasmus you will only be overwhelmed with studying and nothing more. In this short period, I was able to travel around Spain, Italy, and Portugal, to visit many international events at our university, to get to know students from all over the world. Now in every country, I have friends :) It was a very emotional semester.

To confirm my admiration for Spain and Jaén University, I will say that I decided to continue my studies here for the second semester. Therefore, students of the Dnipro Polytechnic University, we are very fortunate to study here, because our university offers such magnificent opportunities for studying abroad. So, don't be afraid to take chances and get the best experience of your life!
