Online Seminar «COIL in DniproTech – Development of COIL courses»

Collaborative online international learning is not just a global trend, but a required element of the internationalisation of higher education. It is an approach that allows international groups of students and teachers to collaborate, share experiences and develop intercultural communication and teamwork skills.

This was discussed on 15 February 2024 at an online seminar on COIL development for academic staff of Dnipro University of Technology who want to develop their teaching skills and strengthen the university's integration into the international educational community!



The participants of the event learned about the benefits and the principles of using COIL and learned how to build a roadmap for a COIL project. In particular, they analysed the structure and practical examples of such modules, as well as learned about the experience of participating in and organising international educational courses at Dnipro University of Technology.

• Alina Ovcharenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemistry, Dnipro University of Technology; 

• Olesia Cherkashchenko, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Translation, Dnipro University of Technology; 

• Nataliia Nechai, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages, Dnipro University of Technology. 

The event was organised by the Center for International Cooperation, which coordinates the COIL programme at Dnipro University of Technology, with the support of the Center for Professional Development, Mentoring and Tutoring. The speakers' presentations were prepared based on the materials of the AUU Global Synergy through COIL Professional Development Programme of the Alliance of Ukrainian Universities.
