On 9 December 2025, Dnipro University of Technology hosted the «Global Reputation for HEI» seminar. The event was organised within framework of the joint project with Lancaster University «Advance HEI Reputation through Global Collaboration». ![]() The session brought together administrative representatives from both Ukrainian and British universities to discuss strategic ways to boost the global profile of higher education institutions (HEIs) amidst today’s shifting landscape and international challenges. Key speakers shared deep insights into building a university’s brand: • Olena Krasovska, Head of International Marketing at Dnipro University of Technology, presented the «Advance HEI Reputation through Global Collaboration» Project, outlining strategic paths to strengthen a modern university’s reputational capital. • Rachel Harvey, Global Engagement Manager at Lancaster University, focused on the vital role of research reputation. Drawing on examples from world-leading institutions, she demonstrated how international networks and partnerships help maintain strong positions in global rankings.
• Maryna Hryhoriieva, Head of Strategic Communications at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, analysed the competitiveness challenges facing Ukrainian HEIs and proposed practical steps to improve their standing on the global academic map. ![]() • Olena Tupakhina, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Project at Zaporizhzhya National University, shared success stories of sustainable partnerships that bolster institutional capacity in the face of modern-day challenges. • Tetiana Kuvaieva, Head of Marketing Department at Dnipro University of Technology, explored the impact of a researcher’s personal brand, highlighting that individual expertise is the very foundation of a university’s overall image. • Mykola Trehub, Vice-Rector for Educational Innovations at Kyiv School of Economics (KSE), showcased KSE’s experience in science diplomacy, proving that these tools are a powerful resource for international communication.
Kseniia Tiukhmenova, Director of the Center for International Cooperation at Dnipro University of Technology, moderated the session, ensuring an engaging atmosphere and a lively exchange of ideas. During the interactive discussion, participants collaborated to develop a shared vision of how university communities can actively enhance the international reputation of Ukrainian higher education. This gathering was a fantastic opportunity to share experiences and plan future projects.
