Kick-off Meeting at TU Bergakademie Freiberg May 2023
TU Bergakademie Freiberg has commenced work on the implementation of an educational and scientific project under the EU ERASMUS+ program as part of a consortium of universities representing six countries. From Dnipro University of Technology (DniproTech), the first vice-rector, Artem Pavlychenko, and Professor of the Department of Surface Mining, Oleksii Lozhnikov, participated in the project's kick-off meeting. Project Name: "Master’s Program in Eco-Mining and Innovative Natural Resource Management" (EMINReM). Project Goal: To enhance the effectiveness of training specialists in mineral resource management while improving environmental safety, incorporating the most advanced practices of European institutions.

During the visit, representatives of DniproTech familiarized themselves with European best practices in resource university education. At TU Bergakademie Freiberg, they studied teaching methodologies that incorporate gamification into the educational process, allowing technical sciences to advance education for key sectors of the economy. ![]() ![]() A visit to TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Germany) also provided DniproTech representatives with access to world-class research laboratories and classrooms equipped with virtual reality tools, designed with an ecological focus. ![]() The acquired knowledge will help expand teaching opportunities for master’s students, as DniproTech, within the consortium of ten universities from Europe and Asia, has the opportunity to exchange cutting-edge information within the framework of the project "Master’s Program in Eco-Mining and Innovative Natural Resource Management" (EMINReM). ![]() ![]()
