Study Visit to TU Bergakademie Freiberg

The study visit to TU Bergakademie Freiberg was attended by the First Vice-Rector of Dnipro University of Technology, Artem Pavlychenko, and Professor of the Department of Surface Mining, Oleksii Lozhnikov.

In addition to representatives from Dnipro University of Technology, the study visit included participation from partner universities:

1. TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Germany) 

2. Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University (Ukraine) 

3. State Institution of Higher Education Donetsk National Technical University (Ukraine) 

4. Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev (Kazakhstan) 

5. Navoi State University of Mining and Technology (Uzbekistan)

During the study visit, participants examined the experience of European Union higher education institutions in teaching mining and environmental disciplines, including curricula, course programs, laboratory facilities, equipment used, and the implementation of online educational platforms.

A further action plan was developed for the implementation of activities under the Erasmus+ project "Master’s Program in Engineering Eco-Mining and Innovative Natural Resource Management" (EMINReM).

The scientific and methodological achievements of Dnipro University of Technology were presented.

New business and academic contacts were established, and working meetings were held to discuss opportunities for developing international cooperation in research and academic mobility.

The next steps in the project implementation involve developing and integrating new disciplines into the master's programs at Dnipro University of Technology, aligning them with the courses taught at leading European resource universities.
