The handbook “Service-Learning Pedagogy for Community Development During Wartime and Recovery” aims to equip educators, students, and community leaders with the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of education in times of war and reconstruction. The handbook is available in both Ukrainian and English, and it includes case studies of best practices in applying the service-learning methodology during wartime and recovery contexts. Its primary target audience includes university administrative staff, faculty, and students, though it may also be valuable for school teachers. The course introduces participants to the concept of service-learning (SL) and provides practical tools for its implementation in the educational process. Within the course, Ukrainian and international ServU partner universities shared personal reflections, lessons learned, and key recommendations for introducing service-learning, which can be adapted to a variety of educational programs, disciplines, and formats.
