Electric drive for light electric vehicles

Project author: National Mining University, Department of Electric Drive, Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine).

Project objective: development of energy-efficient solutions for electric drive of light electric vehicles.

Project background: light electric vehicles – e-bikes, tricycles, and golf cars are getting more popular at foreign markets. A draft solution is offered by German colleagues from the Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, which is to make combined 2/4-wheeler vehicle. The project will address issues of mechanical structure and electric part of the powertrain. The department of electric drive will focus on energy management strategies, design of control system, dimensioning of electric powertrain’s components and simulation.
