Workshop "Institutionalization and inclusive digital education"

Training on the development of tools for ensuring inclusive digital education. 

During three days, from November 27 to 29, 2023, the University of Alcalá (Alcalá, Spain) hosted a training dedicated to the development of a toolkit for ensuring inclusive digital education.

The beginning of the training was marked by a discussion of the technical task for the creation of a multi-institutional inclusive virtual educational campus (MIIVC), which was presented by the AFID team of the Kharkiv National University of Economics named after Kuznets seeds. Participants focused on the features, design, interface, tools, and content of academic disciplines in the virtual campus, paying special attention to tools for ensuring inclusivity.

Oleksandr Dlugopolskyi, head of the Public Synergy NGO, conducted a series of trainings on topics such as the essence and features of inclusive education, the role of online platforms in overcoming challenges, the immersive university model, principles of universal design for online courses, and others. 

AFID representatives from NTU "Dniprovska Polytechnic" considered the process of developing inclusive video lectures, discussed the challenges of inclusive digital education and analyzed existing courses in higher education institutions regarding their compliance and ensuring full coverage of inclusion. 

To conclude, the participants discussed improvements and plans for further work on the development of inclusive digital education, identified new areas of cooperation and interaction between universities and organizations aimed at supporting inclusive education. The training identified innovative strategies and methods for the further development of inclusive digital education in today's realities.
