PROJECT SUMMARY
The “4Ps for Youth: Public, Popular, Progressive and Productive” project will be built on the methodology of non – formal education taking into account the needs and motivations of the participating organizations as starting point of the programme. This project is designed as an open learning process based on active and collaborative learning, on sharing experience and ideas, on implementing the gained knowledge in practice and on involving all participants in decision making based on consent to achieve the best results. This Project aims to bring together young people from different partner organizations for the promotion of their aims and achievements and empowering them with the skills of Public Relations and Communication in youth work to recognize that they can be active agents of change. In order to achieve this, there will be a number of visits to (local) NGOs, State structures, Mass Media and cultural centres in the hosting countries.
ACTIVITIES
- Contact-making event. "Getting ready for 4Ps” “Getting ready for 4Ps” will be the 1st international activity of our project. The aim of the 1st activity is to bring the leaders of all the partner organisations together and give them opportunity to discuss the future steps of the project face to face. The contact-making event will be a unique opportunity to discuss the practical aspects of the project, to organise the timetable and to clear the vison of work, to discuss the ways and tools of the communication during the entire project, expected results and impacts, financial aspects and agreements between the partners. The kick-off activity will be also a platform to discuss the problems, challenges and opportunities the participating organisations and youth in general have. In order to achieve more effective results, a field visit to local youth movements will be organised during the meeting.
- Training course. . The aim of the TC is to gather youth leaders/workers from different youth organisations from EU and partner countries and to contribute to developing capacities of youth workers to use media and communication tools and techniques in order to increase the visibility of their daily work, to make it public, popular, progressive and productive;to build and strengthen the relations between partners, public bodies and young people, as well as to help participants to obtain skills on how to empower youth to be active citizens. The participants will experience differentmethods, tools and techniques of non-formal education and experientiallearningto deepen the understanding and knowledge aboutdesigning and implementing media campaigns. All the participants will have the chance to share their experience, their knowledge and skills in work with young people.
- Information and awareness raising campaigns “4Ps are going locally”. The 3rdActivity will be implemented in participant’s local communities in period of 6 months after the Training Course (Activity 2). Participants who are empowered and trained on this project will practice their skills and implement the developed information and awareness campaigns in their local communities.
- “Evaluating and sharing the 4Ps”, Evaluation Meeting. Here the participants will gather and evaluate all previous activities. This will serve as an open space for participants to share their experience after the previous three Activities, evaluate their personal development and the learning process.
