The direct speech from the participant

Where did you stay (dormitory, rented room, hostel, other)?

I rented a room.

Were you provided with a scholarship for the mobility program? If so, to what percentage did the scholarship cover the minimum necessary living expenses?

Yes, it covered 100%.

Based on your experience, what should future mobility program participants pay attention to during preparation?

It is important to find accommodation in advance, as there might not always be a possibility to stay in a dormitory. The host institution and mentors can help with this. It is also important to familiarize yourself with the requirements and grading system of the host university. Lastly, I would recommend learning some basic phrases in the language of the country you’re going to – it will definitely help in everyday life.

What unexpected issues arose during your mobility?

An unexpected issue was communication with the locals, as many people didn’t know English. Another issue was the sometimes unclear grading system and exam formats.

Briefly describe your expectations for the mobility program and whether they were fulfilled.

My main expectation from the mobility program was to gain new experiences, and I can confidently say that it was fully achieved. I gained experience in foreign education and new teaching methods, got to know the culture of the country from the inside, and made many new connections.

– What educational and cultural activities did you participate in during your mobility?

I took a tour of the local vineyards and participated in grape harvesting. I visited a family-owned winery and participated in a wine tasting with local Portuguese cuisine. I went on a wine tasting tour in the Dao region. I attended a dinner with all the Erasmus program participants, where we had the chance to meet new people and exchange experiences.

Share your most vivid impressions from the mobility program.

There were many bright moments and pleasant impressions during my mobility. I had the opportunity to meet new people, gain new knowledge, and travel around the country. It’s hard to pick just one impression, so I can say that this mobility became an unforgettable experience for me.

Would you like to participate in the mobility program again, and where would you go?

Yes, I would like to visit Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden), as well as countries like Italy, Turkey, Georgia, and Greece.

Would you recommend participating in the mobility program?

Yes, because it’s an unforgettable experience.
