The direct speech from the participant

Where did you stay (dormitory, rented room, hostel, other)?

I stayed in a dormitory provided by private companies for students, so most of the residents are full-time students. I had a private room, while the bathroom and toilet were shared among four people, and the kitchen was shared by sixteen residents. However, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything necessary.

Were you provided with a scholarship for the mobility program? If so, to what percentage did the scholarship cover the minimum necessary living expenses?

The scholarship covered 100% of the expenses. However, the university did not pay the scholarship for the last month of my stay, despite the amount stated in the contract. This was communicated in the middle of the academic period.

Based on your experience, what should future mobility program participants pay attention to during preparation?

First of all, it is important to consume content in English to make communication easier and more engaging. It is also necessary to have some savings before receiving the scholarship. One should be prepared for rainy German weather. Additionally, it is useful to work on staying attentive during offline lectures.

What unexpected issues arose during your mobility?

Issues with scholarship payments and the inability to terminate the dormitory contract earlier than six months.

Briefly describe your expectations for the mobility program and whether they were fulfilled.

My expectations were to gain new experience, which I did, to make many friends and connections-which also happened-and to gain knowledge. Indeed, I acquired diverse and valuable knowledge.

– What educational and cultural activities did you participate in during your mobility?

Case studies with partner companies, university orientation activities, and festivals.

Share your most vivid impressions from the mobility program.

The most vivid impressions were the people-their thoughts and perspectives. Living independently was also an important part of the experience. Hiking and taking on the role of an organizer were also memorable.

Would you like to participate in the mobility program again, and where would you go?

Yes, I would like to participate again during my Master’s studies. I would be interested in destinations such as Spain, Austria, and Sweden.

Would you recommend participating in the mobility program?

Of course. It is a very interesting and transformative experience that broadens one’s horizons.
