University of Klagenfurt, 01.09.2025-31.01.2026, specialty during the mobility – International Business and Economics
The direct speech from the participant
– Describe the features of the study process at the host university: The learning process was organized quite flexibly, but at the same time required independence in planning one's schedule. Teachers actively supported students, and assessment included both written work and practical tasks.
– Where did you stay (dormitory, rented room, hostel, other)? I lived in a rented apartment. Future program participants should note that applications for dormitory accommodation should be submitted as early as possible, as there may not be enough places. At the same time, it is worth looking for alternative options — an apartment, hostel, or other possibilities.
– Were you provided with a scholarship for the mobility program? If so, to what percentage did the scholarship cover the minimum necessary living expenses? The scholarship was €800. It covered 100% of the minimum living expenses, which meant I didn't have to worry about basic financial costs.
– Based on your experience, what should future mobility program participants pay attention to during preparation? You should get your documents (including a bank card) sorted out as soon as possible. Take care of accommodation in advance: even if you plan to live in a dormitory, look for alternatives in case there are no places available.
– What unexpected issues arose during your mobility? The only surprise was that the majority of shops is closed on Sundays. There were no problems or unexpected situations with regard to my studies.
– Briefly describe your expectations for the mobility program and whether they were fulfilled. While studying under the academic mobility program at the University of Klagenfurt, I expected to gain international educational experience and broaden my academic and cultural horizons. My expectations were fully met: I studied international economics, accounting, data analytics, creativity in business and economics, and also attended German language courses and received a certificate. I applied my knowledge in practice during the defense of group and individual projects. The university left a very positive impression thanks to its modern equipment, comfortable environment, and large library. In addition, I met many students from different countries, visited Christmas markets, and saw new cultural sites.
– What educational and cultural activities did you participate in during your mobility? I participated in almost all events organized by the university: movie days, festivals, parties, and other cultural and educational events.
– Share your most vivid impressions from the mobility program. The most memorable experience was the opportunity to combine studying with cultural and social life: visiting Christmas markets, meeting international students, participating in festivals, parties, and other university events. I was particularly impressed by the library and the modern learning environment at the university, where individual work and teamwork were easily combined. This experience allowed me not only to deepen my professional knowledge, but also to make unforgettable international acquaintances and gain cultural impressions.
– Would you like to participate in the mobility program again, and where would you go? I would definitely like to repeat the mobility experience. It would be especially interesting to visit other European countries and universities with strong programs in economics, business, and international relations.
– Would you recommend participating in the mobility program? I definitely recommend participating in the mobility program. It is a unique opportunity for learning, personal development, and international communication.Y
