The direct speech from the participant

Where did you stay (dormitory, rented room, hostel, other)?

Dormitory. It’s important to note that you should reserve your spot in the dormitory immediately after the indicated deadline — otherwise, places fill up very quickly.

Were you provided with a scholarship for the mobility program? If so, to what percentage did the scholarship cover the minimum necessary living expenses?

Yes, it covered all necessary expenses.

Based on your experience, what should future mobility program participants pay attention to during preparation?

You should pay attention to the faculty where the courses you need for recognition are offered. Although my major is related to business, the courses I needed were taught at the Faculty of Creative Industries, so I was also assigned to that faculty. Additionally, it is important to take part in the orientation week programme and plan your time in advance to attend those events — it significantly increases the chances of making friends. It’s also useful to check the campus map, as some faculties are scattered throughout the city. This means you should plan your time and routes ahead of time.

What unexpected issues arose during your mobility?

There were no major surprises. I was only surprised to find out that I would be a student not of the Faculty of Business Management, but of Creative Industries, even though the former is more closely related to my major.

Briefly describe your expectations for the mobility program and whether they were fulfilled.

I expected to make more friends among international students, and I achieved that 100% — now I have many acquaintances from all over the world, and I had the chance to get closely familiar with the cultures of Italy, Romania, Spain, and South Korea. I also aimed to improve my qualifications in my field of study, to learn many new things, and to find a new approach to learning — and thanks to this experience, I succeeded. In addition, I hoped to travel more, and I’m grateful that I managed to do so — I visited five countries during my mobility.

– What educational and cultural activities did you participate in during your mobility?

Chess Tournament “Pabandon”

 Vilnius Marathon

 ESN Events

 Language Clubs: French and Lithuanian

Share your most vivid impressions from the mobility program.

Would you like to participate in the mobility program again, and where would you go?

Yes, Italy, Spain, Sweden.

Would you recommend participating in the mobility program?

100 % Yes
