My name is Pavlo Shalimov, I am a third-year student at the National Technical University “Dnipro Polytechnic” in Ukraine. I am studying at the Department of Electric Drive, Faculty of Electrical Engineering. My main area is electric motors, electric drive and electric drive control, and I also take an active part in student life. I was chosen for academic mobility Erasmus+, according to the results of the contest which was held among students. The purpose of this academic mobility is to gain experience in European education and to gain deeper knowledge in my field. I also wanted to get acquainted with the teaching methods and organization of the educational process in Europe.

At the Technical University in Liberec, I studied a number of disciplines. I studied the basics of Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer, the methods of programming and controlling a CNC machine, the methods of processing industrial data, and the basics of Computer Graphics in the C++ programming language. Also, one of my studies at TU in Liberec was the study of piezoelectric elements and the design of a DC voltage generator based on a piezoelectric element. In the course of this work, I studied the properties of piezoelectric elements, designed the piezoelectric generator circuit, and simulated the circuit.

In Liberec, I was fortunate enough to attend lectures and receive education from specialists in their fields. I met many people from different countries and learned a lot. This experience was very useful for me both in terms of getting an education and in terms of personal growth.
