The direct speech from the participant

Where did you stay (dormitory, rented room, hostel, other)?

Student dormitory.

Were you provided with a scholarship for the mobility program? If so, to what percentage did the scholarship cover the minimum necessary living expenses?

Yes, I was provided with a scholarship, and it covered 100% of my living expenses.

Based on your experience, what should future mobility program participants pay attention to during preparation?

First of all, it is important to carefully prepare all the necessary documents and ask coordinators from the host institution any relevant questions. You should read all the documents you receive very внимательно, especially those related to finances and accommodation. It is also advisable to be financially prepared to cover your living expenses during the first month. Additionally, it is helpful to check your class schedule in advance.

What unexpected issues arose during your mobility?

It was sometimes unclear where exactly to go to process documents after arriving in Germany, and the waiting times were quite long. I also received unexpected letters regarding taxes that I was required to pay in Germany.

Briefly describe your expectations for the mobility program and whether they were fulfilled.

My expectations were to see how teaching and learning are organized in another country. Studying in a different language and communicating with new people in English proved to be very beneficial. I also expected to meet new people and learn more about German culture and traditions. This mobility experience will stay with me for a lifetime—as an opportunity to try something new and to gain confidence in applying for similar programs in the future.

– What educational and cultural activities did you participate in during your mobility?

Student events organized by the university, presentations for exchange students, and networking events with companies where students can undertake internships.

Share your most vivid impressions from the mobility program.

The most vivid impressions were, of course, the people I met. Working in teams with local students and other international participants was especially valuable. I was also impressed by the teaching approach—professors were patient, answered all questions, and switched to English quickly and professionally when needed. Living in another country was an unforgettable experience. I was also fortunate to attend the famous Oktoberfest festival, which lasted for a month, as well as Christmas celebrations, and to see firsthand how these traditions are celebrated in Germany.

Would you like to participate in the mobility program again, and where would you go?

Yes, I would very much like to repeat this experience. I would be interested in trying myself in Spain, Finland, or Korea.

Would you recommend participating in the mobility program?

Definitely. The most important thing is not to be afraid to apply and try.
