The direct speech from the participant
– Describe the features of the study process at the host university: Most courses included interactive learning formats such as seminars, workshops, and group projects. Particular emphasis was placed on the practical application of knowledge. Students were encouraged to think critically, participate in discussions, and work in a multicultural environment.
– Where did you stay (dormitory, rented room, hostel, other)? I lived in the Campus Residence dormitory, which is located in the city center and very close to the university campus. It is advisable to book a place in advance, as spots are limited. The conditions are comfortable: you can choose a single or double room, and each has its own kitchen and bathroom.
– Were you provided with a scholarship for the mobility program? If so, to what percentage did the scholarship cover the minimum necessary living expenses? Yes, I received a scholarship. Excluding the cost of accommodation in the dormitory, the scholarship covered approximately 80–85% of the minimum necessary living expenses.
– Based on your experience, what should future mobility program participants pay attention to during preparation? First of all, don’t postpone your preparation until the last minute. It’s important to collect all necessary documents in advance, arrange accommodation, and research the university and courses you’ll be taking. I recommend reaching out to students who have already been to the university — this really helps you get oriented and avoid difficulties.
– What unexpected issues arose during your mobility? The different style of studying wasn’t exactly unexpected, but it was new for me — more independent work and group projects. In the beginning, I had to figure out things like public transportation passes, city registration, and banking procedures. But thanks to the support of the coordinator and fellow students, everything was resolved quickly and smoothly.
– Briefly describe your expectations for the mobility program and whether they were fulfilled.
I expected to improve my language skills, gain experience living in an international environment, and get acquainted with a new education system. All of my expectations were fulfilled — the studies were highly effective, and the experience was truly unique.
– What educational and cultural activities did you participate in during your mobility? I participated in international events for country presentations, workshops held by professors from across Europe, and excursions.
– Share your most vivid impressions from the mobility program. I really appreciated the Austrian teaching system — it motivates independent thinking, encourages you to present your ideas, and develop teamwork skills. Communicating with peers from different countries broadened my perspective and gave me a new outlook on education. I especially enjoyed discovering the local culture and participating in events where I not only learned about a new culture but also shared my own. – Would you like to participate in the mobility program again, and where would you go? Yes, absolutely — I would love to participate in mobility programs again. There are many countries I’m interested in, and I would like to experience studying and exploring the cultures of new countries.
– Would you recommend participating in the mobility program? 100%! I wholeheartedly recommend that everyone try participating in an academic mobility program at least once. It’s an incredible experience, full of memories and skills that will stay with you for a lifetime.
